The corrupt Florida Agriculture Commissioner Involved in Sidney Powell’s non-profit case, Nikki Fried, is the same person who started the efforts to take down the ‘We Build the Wall’ group, including Steve Bannon and Brian Kolfage.

We reported last night the non-profit Sidney Powell created after the 2020 Election Steal by the Democrats is under investigation and is being subpoenaed.

The Washington Post reported on the subpoenas in a typical slanted report but did mention the following [emphasis ours]:
…In an estimated budget submitted this summer to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Defending the Republic projected revenue from donations of just over $7 million for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. The organization prepared the budget following a state complaint alleging multiple violations of Florida law, including failure to comply with charity registration law, and obtaining contributions by means of “deception, false pretense, misrepresentation, or false promise.” Defending the Republic paid a $10,000 fine to resolve the complaint, according to a settlement agreement reviewed by The Post.
Defending the Republic gave to the Arizona Audit per WaPo as well:
Defending the Republic contributed $550,000 to fund a Republican-commissioned review of nearly 2.1 million ballots cast last year in Arizona, according to an accounting released in July by Cyber Ninjas, a contractor that led the review.
The far-left Daily Beast reported on how Lin Wood released an audio recording of his discussion with Patrick Byrne where they claimed Powell was taking from Defending the Republic. It is unknown if they knew of this case or not but their comments were timely and disparaging of Powell only a few days before her case was released in the press.
In secretly recorded conversations released by erstwhile Powell ally Lin Wood over the past few days, former Overstock.com and Defending the Republic CEO Patrick Byrne accused Powell of pocketing funds from the group in order to pay for her defense against a billion-dollar defamation suit filed against her by Dominion Voting Systems.
The Daily Beast shared many disparaging remarks from Patrick Byrne about Powell and then shared that it was Nikki Fried who started the attack on Powell.
In a June press conference, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried said Defending the Republic was “found to be soliciting contributions from the State of Florida or from persons within the State of Florida” on the internet “without having filed in the State of Florida” as a charitable organization.”
On Aug. 24, Defending the Republic paid a $10,000 fine as part of a settlement agreement with Florida authorities over its fundraising.
As part of that agreement, Powell’s group agreed to register as a charity in Florida and submitted a projected budget of over $7 million. The settlement agreement also required Defending the Republic to submit an audited financial statement for the group’s operations between December 2020 and July 2021 by Nov. 30, including a balance sheet and a list of expenses and revenue.
“Our number one job is protecting Florida consumers from fraud, and I am proud of the work of our department in conducting a thorough investigation into Defending the Republic,” Nikki Fried said in a statement provided to The Daily Beast. “We are committed to holding all organizations operating as charities under Florida statute accountable. No matter who you are, whether big or small, whether a bad actor, a scammer, or a former lawyer for a former president, the rules apply to you, and we will apply the law equally.”
The far-left Beast goes on to praise Fried for her continued attacks on conservatives attempting to make America a better place:
Under Fried’s tenure as Florida’s agriculture commissioner, her department has pursued high-profile investigations involving charitable organizations accused of wrongdoing. In 2019, Fried’s office investigated consumer complaints about a charity, We Build the Wall, run by Brian Kolfage and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. The investigation led to a federal indictment of Kolfage and Bannon on fraud and money laundering charges (Trump subsequently pardoned Bannon).
We reached out to Brian Kolfage who provided this statement:
Nikki Fried has continued to weaponize her position in Florida to target political opponents in order to gain credence among the radical left so that she could run for Governor of Florida. If one thing is clear, she’s not fit for Florida, and perhaps it’s time for her to move to California if she wants to run a banana republic.
I have the receipts from when she enabled bogus attacks on WBTW, Inc. She abused her position in an attempt to shut down the wall project since we were incorporated in Florida. She did this for one reason, and it’s because she didn’t agree with the wall. It’s mind blowing that the Florida Dept of Agriculture can even allow such partisan attacks.
She hates everything great about this state, and all the incredible success of Governor Ron DeSantis. Floridians don’t like Nikki Fried, and it’s time for her to be voted out.”
